CANSA

Arboretum Primary School entered teacher and Land Service Member teams for the 2009 CANSA relay race.  Our learners had a coin collection and collected an impressive R6000.  We are looking forward to 2010 and plan to take part in the CANSA relay race once again.

COMMUNITY PROJECTS

We collect food for animals and toys from the learners at school at the end of the year so as to sew back into the community.  The animal food is given to the Richards Bay SPCA and the toys go to a worthy organization.  Last year they went to a new school that is being established in Port Shepstone.  In 2009 we also collected shoe boxes with “goodies” in to give to the Richards Bay Magistrates Court to give to those young children that are abused.
