School Fees
The Management Council fixed school fees for 2010 as follows:
R6435 per child p.a. per year.
The school fees may be paid using the following methods:
1) A once off payment of R5792 per child payable on or before 1 April 2010.
2) R585 per child per month over 11 months. The time period is from 1st January to 1st November.
Financial office hours: Mon -
NOTE: The financial office will be closed on the last day of every term.
9.1 Interest will be levied on all school fees in arrears.
9.2 We would like to draw your attention to the fact that learners whose school fees are not up to date will not be allowed on any educational tour. It often happens that parents are prepared to pay money for school tours but are not prepared to pay school fees. The Governing Body is of the mind that the parents’ first priority is to pay school fees and that excursions are a second priority.
9.3 When school fees were calculated, it was envisaged that ALL parents would pay in full. The school will therefore not be able to meet its financial obligation should this not happen.
9.4 Handing over for collection of school fees will take place at the end of April and the end of September. You will be responsible to pay for the collection costs if the Governing Body finds it necessary to take action against you for any outstanding school fees or money.
9.5 Parents who have real problems are requested to make an appointment with the headmaster to discuss the matter.
9.6 It is, however, the intention and desire of the Management Council, in the best
interest of the school, not to have to prosecute parents and therefore ask their

9.7 A subsidy scheme exists for needy families. Should parents experience problems meeting their commitments they are welcome to contact the principal for further information. Many parents who qualified for a subsidy did not apply last year or applied too late. Applications must be made before the 1rd of March 2010. No late applications will be considered. Application forms are available at the office from Mrs Alberts. Please note that you are responsible for the payment of school fees until your application for subsidy has been approved. All outstanding school fees for 2009, and the first 2 month’s school fee of R585 per month must be paid before an application can be submitted.
9.8 I request you to make these payments through the eldest child. It does happen that money sent to school is sometimes lost. The process is facilitated if you send the money or a cheque in a sealed envelope with the name and grade of the learner clearly written on it, as well as the purpose for which the money is intended. Payments are computerised and statements sent out on a monthly basis. Many parents make use of a debit order. We recommend this as it helps ease the financial burden as your payments are spread throughout the year. The bank details are as follows:
